Regarding the Federal Government Appeal of the Brand X Ruling
“The reversal of the Brand X decision is important because, if affirmed, it would impose on cable modem service cumbersome regulation that would deter innovation and development of broadband services and technology in the United States . We are pleased that the FCC and Department of Justice have called on the Supreme Court to reverse this decision.”
NCTA is the principal trade association of the cable television industry in the United States . NCTA represents cable operators serving more than 90 percent of the nation's cable television households and more than 200 cable program networks, as well as equipment suppliers and providers of other services to the cable industry.
