CINNAMON ROGERS AND CLIFF RICCIO JOIN NCTA'S GOVERNMENT RELATIONS DEPARTMENT

WASHINGTON, DC - NCTA today announced the addition of two new professional staff members to its Government Relations department. Cinnamon Rogers will join the association as Legislative Counsel, and Cliff Riccio will serve as Manager of Government Relations.

“Both Cinnamon and Cliff bring valuable insight to our department from their experience on Capitol Hill with telecommunications issues,” said Pam Turner, NCTA’s Senior Vice President of Government Relations. “NCTA will benefit greatly from their expertise.”

Rogers most recently served as Senior Policy Advisor to Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA). Prior to that, she was Director of Congressional Affairs for the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), where she coordinated telecommunications legislative activity for the U.S. Department of Commerce. Before joining NTIA, Rogers was an associate attorney at Sher & Blackwell in the firm’s Legislative Affairs practice. From January 1996 to October 1998, she served as Legislative Director and Legal Counsel to Rep. Thomas J. Manton (D-NY). Rogers received a J.D. from the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) School of Law in 1995. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.

Riccio joins NCTA from the U.S. House of Representatives’ Energy and Commerce Committee, where he served as Legislative Analyst for both Chairman Billy Tauzin (R-LA) and former Chairman Tom Bliley (R-VA). From August 1995 to March 2000, Riccio was Legislative Clerk for the House Commerce Committee. Riccio graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelors of Arts degree in history and a minor in political science.

NCTA is the principal trade association of the cable industry in the United States, representing cable operators serving more than 90 percent of the nation’s cable television households.
