Washington, D.C. – NCTA – The Internet & Television Association today announced the addition of Austin Walton as Vice President, Government Relations.
Walton has spent over a decade on Capitol Hill working in both the Senate and House. Most recently, he was Policy Advisor to Sen. Eric Schmitt, where he led initiatives on the Senate Commerce, Science, and Technology Committee, including Sen. Schmitt’s work as the Ranking Member of the Space and Science Subcommittee.
Previously, Walton was Policy Advisor for House Majority Leader Steve Scalise where he led all of Majority Leader Scalise's efforts on the Energy and Commerce Committee for matters under the Communications and Technology, Oversight and Investigations, and Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade Subcommittees. Prior to his work in Majority Leader Scalise's office, Walton held various positions for Rep. Tim Walberg, Rep. Rob Wittman and Rep. Tim Huelskamp.
Austin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the College of Charleston.
