America’s Expanding Broadband Networks Continue To Grow: The Midwest Pt. 5

America’s cable broadband providers continue their hard work to extend their advanced networks to every community across the country.

As America targets efforts towards connecting every community to robust broadband, cable providers continue to do what they have always done: build out their networks to reach as many Americans as possible.

Illinois

One hundred and thirty-five homes and businesses are getting access to Charter’s gigabit network in rural areas of Washington County, northwest of Beaucoup. Additionally, more than 315 homes and small businesses in rural areas of Macoupin County will also get connected to the advanced broadband network.

Indiana

More than 2,300 residents and businesses will be connected in Edinburgh to Comcast’s Xfinity services, including over two dozen essential services and government buildings like the fire and rescue station, town hall, and police station.

Iowa

Residents in Cedar Rapids and Des Moines are gaining access to Mediacom’s multi-gigabit network. Currently rolling out on a neighborhood-by-neighborhood basis, the network is built to scale easily in order to deliver even faster speeds soon.

Michigan

Charter is connecting more than 660 homes and small businesses in Leelanau County. The project connects the community to Charter’s fiber-optic gigabit network.

Minnesota

Mediacom has announced the launch of multi-gigabit speeds to over 1,000 households located in the rural community of Arlington. Mediacom’s network is easily scalable and is designed to be able to offer even higher gigabit speeds in the coming years.

Comcast is expanding its high-speed symmetrical broadband to more than 30,000 new homes and businesses across Prior Lake, Savage, Victoria, and Waconia.
