America’s cable broadband providers continue to extend their advanced networks to every community across the country.
As America targets efforts towards connecting every community to robust broadband, cable providers continue to do what they have always done: build out their networks to reach as many Americans as possible.

Delaware
Mediacom Communications launched its new 5 Gig residential internet service in Delaware, offering speeds up to 5,000 Mbps download and 1,000 Mbps upload. The initial rollout reaches unincorporated communities near Delmar, Georgetown, Gumboro, Harbeson, Laurel, Lewes, Millsboro, Milton and Seaford. This is part of a broader deployment of 5 Gig services now available to more than 500,000 homes nationwide.
Maine
Maine’s Fryeburg Fair – a New England tradition dating to 1851 – has stepped into the future with a Spectrum Fiber Broadband Network upgrade. Spectrum crews added more than 40 runs of fiber to the fairgrounds to deliver a better, more memorable experience for the more than 225,000 annual visitors. “Moving to Spectrum services has transformed the way we run the fair,” said Chris Sanborn, Fryeburg Fair’s IT director. “We went from patchwork fiber and unmanaged switches to a reliable, centrally managed system. Spectrum’s flexibility and support have made our operations smoother, our vendors happier and my job much easier.”
Maryland
Spectrum completed a network expansion in Somerset County, MD, connecting more than 1,000 homes and businesses to speeds up to 1 Gbps and Advanced Wi-Fi, with no modem fees, no data caps, and no contracts. The project is part of Spectrum’s multi-year rural construction initiative driven by more than $7 billion in private investment from Spectrum and will ultimately add an additional 100,000+ miles of fiber-optic network infrastructure and deliver symmetrical and multi-gigabit speed internet access to more than 1.7 million new locations across the country.
Comcast completed a network expansion in East New Market, connecting more than 250 homes and businesses to multi-gigabit, symmetrical internet. The is part of Comcast’s ongoing project that will connect more than 16,000 homes and businesses across Maryland’s Eastern shore including areas in Centreville and Kent Island.
New Hampshire
Comcast started construction to connect Northwood, New Hampshire, to multi-gigabit, symmetrical internet, reaching more than 3,200 new homes and businesses. The project is part of Comcast’s broader investment in Rockingham County, following earlier expansions to nearby Farmington, Milton, and New Durham, and is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
New Jersey
In the Greater Phillipsburg, New Jersey area, Comcast is working to bring services to more than 15,700 additional homes and businesses across Warren County. Construction is almost complete in Greenwich, Lopatcong and Alpha, with Phillipsburg half-finished and Pohatcong township efforts ramping up. This is part of a broader push that has connected 43,000 New Jersey homes and businesses over the past year.
Pennsylvania
In Northeastern Pennsylvania, Comcast has finished a major network expansion bringing multi-gigabit, symmetrical internet and a full slate of services to more than 8,800 homes and businesses across Carbon, Luzerne, and Schuylkill counties, including Banks Township, Hazle Township, and areas of Schuylkill County.
