“We commend the FCC for establishing the first voluntary cybersecurity labeling program for connected smart products. Cable providers are committed to protecting consumers by maintaining strong cybersecurity practices and enhancing the security of devices connecting to the network. The FCC’s new voluntary “Cyber Trust Mark” program, if adopted, would be an important first step that will help consumers make informed choices when shopping for IoT products. Suzanne Scott of FOX News Media and CommScope’s Chuck Treadway Join NCTA Board; Other New Officers Named
Washington, DC – NCTA Chairman of the Board Pat McAdaragh, Chair & CEO of Midco, has welcomed Suzanne Scott, CEO of FOX News Media, and Chuck Treadway, President and CEO of CommScope, to NCTA’s Board of Directors. Scott will serve as an At-Large Programmer Director and Treadway will serve as an Associate Director. Treadway is replacing CommScope’s Frank Drendel who has retired and stepped down from NCTA’s Board after serving for more than three decades. In addition, Tom Rutledge, Executive Chairman of Charter Communications, is retiring and has stepped down as NCTA’s Vice Chairman of the Board
