“NCTA supports the work of the Commission, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, the Department of Defense, and other interested agencies to make the Lower 37 GHz band available for shared use under the National Spectrum Strategy (“NSS”) Implementation Plan. Finalizing rules in the band will allow multiple diverse users—both commercial and Federal—to access spectrum that will provide high speed, low latency multigigabit and 5G services, including real-time Augmented Reality-powered data sharing for innovations in smart cities, schools, offices, homes, libraries, hospitals, factories, automobiles and more. NCTA urges the Commission and other stakeholders to move forward with that process and finalize rules enabling widespread and efficient shared access to the band as quickly as possible, adopting a simple sharing regime, so that consumers can benefit from its use.”
