SCTE TechExpo26 starts today and goes through October 1 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. As North America’s largest broadband event, it brings together more than 175 speakers, 250 exhibitors, and thousands of industry leaders from over 60 countries.
This year, NCTA leaders will take part in sessions on the main stage and in the Multi-Access Convergence track, covering cybersecurity, infrastructure protection, next-generation HFC networks, and Wi-Fi.
Wednesday, September 30th
NCTA leaders will take part in two of the day’s Headliners sessions, which will be livestreamed on the TechExpo homepage.

Fireside chat: Cory Gardner and National Cyber Director Sean Cairncross
NCTA President & CEO Cory Gardner will sit down with Sean Cairncross, the United States National Cyber Director, for a livestreamed conversation on policy and cybersecurity.
Broadband networks support daily communications, emergency response, and essential public services, making cybersecurity and infrastructure protection a shared priority for government and industry.
NCTA CTO Rikin Thakker will moderate a panel of network operations leaders from across the broadband and wireless industry. The conversation will focus on protecting critical communications infrastructure and the work of the STRIKE coalition, an industry initiative targeting escalating attacks on network infrastructure.

Later on Wednesday, Rikin Thakker will moderate The Intelligent 6 GHz HFC Network, part of the Multi-Access Convergence track.

The session will examine how AI is changing the way operators run HFC networks as they push to 1.8 GHz and look ahead to 3–6 GHz. Experts from CableLabs, Aurora Networks, Sercomm, and AOI will discuss AI-driven network operations, lessons from extended-spectrum deployments, and a practical path to 6 GHz without a full network replacement.
Thursday, October 1
Wi-Fi 8 and the 6 GHz Revolution
On the final day, NCTA Senior Director of Engineering Abiy Zewde will moderate Wi-Fi 8 and the 6 GHz Revolution, also part of the Multi-Access Convergence track.

This session looks at what’s next for Wi-Fi and the spectrum that makes it possible. Unlicensed spectrum in the 6 GHz band already powers today’s Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 networks and will anchor the next generation. Attendees will hear from speakers at Spectrum, Comcast, CableLabs, and Nokia on the Wi-Fi 8 features most likely to emerge, real-world use of the full 6 GHz band, and how Wi-Fi 8 can deliver a more reliable home Wi-Fi experience.
