P. Diddy at the Nexus of Music Mogul and TV Mogul [VIDEO]

In a time when our televisions are saturated with various channels and quality content, there is one genre consumers are seriously lacking – music.

Sean Combs wants to make sure everyone knows that REVOLT is here to mix things up. During Thursday’s General Session at The Cable Show 2014, Mr. Combs, Founder and Co-Chairman of the new music network and the CEO, Keith Clinkscales sat down to discuss how TV is being redefined for young men and women, whom they hesitate to dub “Millennials.”

Combs and Clinkscales initially felt heat from peers and bystanders who criticized their decision to start a network, but they saw REVOLT as an opportunity – an opportunity “to create a world-wide brand like CNN or ESPN.” Six months in, REVOLT is proving naysayers wrong and claiming they are the number one music network socially, meaning their brand has the highest amount of social chatter over any other network.

After urging television lovers, providers and distributors to pay attention to the new wave of music and cable – which inevitably would lead to a surge for REVOLT – the moderator, Melissa Grego of Broadcasting & Cable asked the duo where they hope to be in five years. As the face of the brand, Mr. Combs responded with business class, “I hope to have more distributors and continue to grow,” where Mr. Clinkscales sealed it with the closing line heard ‘round the world, “We’re not just relevant. We’re influential.”
