TV & Film Industries Launch Campaign to Inform Parents about Media Management Tools

Multimedia Public Service Effort Aims to Raise Parental Awareness of TV and Film Ratings, Parental Controls, Media Literacy, and Mental Health Issues

 

Washington, DC – February 27, 2013 – The television and film industries today announced plans to roll out a national multimedia campaign to inform parents about the many tools that can help them manage what their children see on television and at the movies.

NCTA Statement on D.C Circuit Court Ruling on the FCC’s Pole Attachment Order

The Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit today upheld the FCC’s 2011 Pole Attachment Order. Below is a statement from NCTA President & CEO Michael Powell on the decision.

“The court’s decision to affirm the FCC’s pole attachment order is a win for American consumers. By reducing the cost of attaching equipment and wires to utility poles, the changes adopted by the Commission in 2011 will help promote the deployment of broadband and telecommunications networks by cable operators and other providers.”
