It’s No Coincidence That INTX Is in Boston This Year ...

INTX Is In Boston This Year

There’s no better place for INTX to be this year than in Boston. Why? Well, when you think of digital media, technology and the future, Silicon Valley is usually the first place that comes to mind. But did you know that Boston is a mecca for one of the liveliest technology ecosystems in the country? Besides being the east coast home to giants like Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and the headquarters of homegrown Akamai, Boston is ripe with start-ups and smaller incubators in new media. Mayor Marty Walsh often speaks of further developing innovation districts within the city, so it’s no surprise then that Beantown has experienced rapid growth and diversity among a variety of companies and entrepreneurs who view Boston as the place that will foster the necessary creativity and development their initiatives depend on. With tech meetups and hackathons galore, and local coffee shops and restaurants buzzing with energetic visionaries hatching their future plans, the capital of the Bay State is equipped with the resources and support network that entrepreneurs need to grow their businesses.

The best part is that you’ll get to witness firsthand some of those local creators at work on May 16-18, whether they be on the INTX showcase floor, as contestants competing in the Lobstah Tank, demonstrating their latest ideas at Imagine Park, or ready to network with you at a session or social event. We’re also excited to have the MIT Media Lab join the INTX floor this year for the first time. The city has long been home to some of the most prestigious universities in the world, and ones that boast strong technology programs and the best research funding around, MIT being one of them.

It’s all the more fitting that INTX come to a place where, as our show’s motto this year indicates, is “Harnessing Disruption” and fueling the ideas of tomorrow. INTX is all about sparking discussions about our new media economy and the future of where it’s headed. Come to Boston, be a part of the conversation and take in all that the city has to offer budding innovators. You won’t regret it.
