The line between the Internet and Television is fading fast. What was once two competing ways of getting news, information, and to connect, have truly become one. This new media economy is giving not only the companies who are growing and developing it all new challenges, but it’s giving the people who use it and enjoy it amazing new opportunities. INTX is the place where all of the ideas, people, devices, and platforms that define today’s Internet and entertainment experience will come together and decide what comes next. Will you join us? After all, this isn’t about what we can bring you - it’s what we can all do together when we bring the best and the brightest together in one place. At INTX, we’ll be hearing from Kayvon Beykpour, co-founder and CEO of Periscope. Beykpour will join Re/code journalist at the General Session on May 17th to talk about the renowned video streaming app that was recognized as Apple's App of the Year for 2015. As our new media economy moves even more toward video, Beykpour's insights are bound to stir up discussions and ideas among the INTX audience. A new super session led by a selection of influencers will also examine breakthrough programming and the efforts that it takes to captivate audiences. AMC, Showtime, FX, TV One, and Starz are a few of the leading companies that will share their programming success. Then at Imagine Park, the live stage event on the marketplace floor where innovators showcase the next best thing through demos and presentations, MIT Media Lab's Andrew Lippman will share details of the projects going on at the Media Lab, as well as trends and technical shifts to look out for in the industry. This will all take place in the "Tech Talk with Tony & Guests" segment hosted by Comcast’s Tony Werner and columnist Leslie Ellis. And let's not forget the Lobstah Tank, which, taking after the infamous Shark Tank, will have finals taking place in Imagine Park where judges and audiences will hear about the next wave of fresh new products and services as contestants compete for a $10,000 prize and the chance to take the media and technology realm to the next level. A TED session is also coming to INTX for the first time, and its program on the power of disruption is sure to inspire ideas and thought-provoking conversation. Throughout the show visitors will have the opportunity to experience some of the leading and trending technologies that are moving us further into the 21st century. Influencers in virtual reality will be on hand to demonstrate the future of 360-degree video, as well as key players in TV Everywhere and apps, ready to demonstrate how Internet and television converge to bring us the best in entertainment. If you haven't registered, now is the time to do so. Where is the world of media, technology and entertainment headed? INTX is structured in a personal and inclusive way that encourages everyone to participate. We look forward to having you contribute to the conversation May 16-18.
