Statement of NCTA Regarding the Internet Tax Freedom Act

“Keeping Internet access free from state and local taxes has been a fundamental principle since the Internet was introduced to American consumers and has proved to be a tremendous success. A permanent Internet Tax Freedom Act (ITFA) will ensure that American consumers and businesses will be protected from additional taxes and fees that could raise the price of Internet access and hinder further adoption of broadband. We urge both the House and Senate to make ITFA permanent once and for all.”
