WASHINGTON, D. C. – The Walter Kaitz Foundation is hosting the third annual program aimed at connecting mid-to-upper level professionals of color with producing, directing and writing/story producing credits in nonfiction/reality, with network and production company executives. “The Hollywood Creative Forum” is being held on Wednesday, April 11th at the Hyatt Regency Century City in Los Angeles and kicks off with an exclusive VIP Reception for attendees at the Creative Artists Agency headquarters on Tuesday, April 10th.
The program incorporates a full day of sessions and "Meet and Greets" with cable network and production company executives and focuses on programming and creative content in the non-fiction and reality genres. The Forum is a complimentary, invitation-only event targeted at diverse show runners, producers, directors and writers all of which endeavors to promote diversity behind the cameras. “This type of networking event is unique as it connects people of color to network executives, while at the same time opens the door for network and production executives to meet potential hires. The event’s keynote speaker is Flavio Morales, Senior Vice President of Programming at mun2. The program also includes a “Meet and Greet” with structured introductions between cable network and production company executives and an industry panel that features Michael Smith, General Manager of The Cooking Channel.
