In addition to the convention theme, NCTA also announced the following session details.
Char Beales, President and CEO, Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) will host the Opening Plenary Session on June 10, at 1:30 p.m. (CDT). The session, Hot Off the Wire - The Truth Behind the Headlines will feature a look at the new world of digital cable, with an expert panel setting the stage for Cable 2001 with an analysis of the key issues that are making the news.
NCTA also announced that Sue Herera, co-host of CNBC's Business Center will host the Convention's Opening General Session on Monday, June 11 at 9:15 a.m. The Monday panel will feature some of the industry's top leaders - including Jerry Kent, President and CEO of Charter Communications; Brian Roberts, President and CEO of Comcast Corp.; and Mel Karmazin, President and COO of Viacom, Inc.
Tuesday's General Session, We're Making Broadband Happen will feature: Carole Black, President and CEO, Lifetime Entertainment Services; Nick Davatzes, President, A&E Television Networks; Jon DeVaan, Senior Vice President, Microsoft TV Division; Maggie Wilderotter, President and CEO, Wink Communications; and Michael Willner, President, Insight Communications, Inc.
