Statement of NCTA Regarding Committee Approval of Protecting Cyber Networks Act

“NCTA commends the House Select Committee on Intelligence for its action marking up the bipartisan Protecting Cyber Networks Act (H.R. 1560). This action marks another step forward in our collective efforts to improve America’s cyber readiness by sharing threat indicators. Chairman Nunes and Ranking Member Schiff, with Subcommittee Chairman Westmoreland and Ranking Member Himes, have worked to advance a bill that balances cybersecurity, privacy and civil liberties concerns. We look forward to working with all members of the House to pass cybersecurity legislation that will improve our ability to protect consumers, our Internet infrastructure and America’s economy.”
