Rita Lewis is Stepping Down as SVP, Government Relations; Will Serve in a New Role at NCTA

NCTA – The Internet & Television Association President & CEO Michael Powell today announced that Rita Lewis, Senior Vice President for Government Relations, has decided to step down from her position on June 1, 2017 to spend more time with her family. She is remaining at NCTA, however, in a new part-time role as Senior Advisor, Government Relations.  Lewis has served as SVP at NCTA since 2008.

“Rita is a superb strategist and a forceful advocate who has been instrumental to NCTA’s public policy success over the last several years,” Powell said. “Rita has not only been a close advisor and successful leader but she has developed a terrific team that is second to none in Washington. We are grateful for the tremendous passion and unwavering commitment she brings to the office every day, and we are fortunate she will remain a part of our team.”

During her tenure at NCTA, Lewis has directed Congressional relations for some of the industry’s most significant technology and telecommunications policy issues ever.  She also pioneered NCTA’s efforts to increase education and personal outreach to every Member of Congress and their staff.

NCTA has enlisted Korn Ferry to conduct a search for a new SVP beginning immediately.  The search will be led by Nels Olson who will accept inquires via [email protected].
