Ncta Announces New Hire and Promotions in Association Affairs

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) today announced one new hire and two staff promotions in its Association Affairs Department. Each of the individuals reports to Jadz Janucik, NCTA's Senior Vice President for Association Affairs.

Michael Turk has joined NCTA as Vice President of Grassroots. In this new position, Turk will oversee NCTA's efforts to generate support for public policy issues at the federal and state levels. Prior to joining NCTA, Turk most recently served as eCampaign Director for the Republican National Committee and the Bush-Cheney 2004 re-election campaign. He has previously worked for the Executive Office of the President, Republican Party of New Mexico, U.S. Department of Energy, and Grassroots Enterprises, Inc.

 

Rick Cimerman has been promoted to Vice President of State Government Affairs. In this capacity, Cimerman will manage NCTA's outreach to state associations on national public policy issues, assist state associations and cable operators with state legislative and regulatory issues and serve as liaison to state intergovernmental groups. Cimerman has been with NCTA for more than 10 years.

Lisa Schoenthaler has been promoted to Vice President of Association Affairs and the Office of Rural/Small Systems. In this capacity, Schoenthaler will assist with department management, continue to manage NCTA's outreach to rural and small cable operators and will serve as a liaison with staff to local intergovernmental groups and third party organizations. Schoenthaler has been with NCTA for more than 11 years.
