INTX 2016 Breaks Out with TED Session, Special Showcases, and Super Sessions

Washington, D.C. — INTX: The Internet & Television Expo 2016 (INTX) breaks new ground today with the announcement of a partnership with TED Conferences, LLC, as well as a line-up of blue-ribbon speakers for all-new INTX Super Sessions; and three special showcases for cutting-edge technology and services on The Marketplace exhibit floor – Disrupted Reality, It’s All TV, and Watch TV Now Gallery.

INTX is the signature annual event for media and entertainment industries. Produced by the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA), this year’s show will run from Monday May 16 through Wednesday May 18 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

TED Session Presented by INTX

INTX will feature its first-ever TED Session Presented by INTX, staged and curated in partnership with TED Conferences, LLC. TED will tap its rich network of inventive thinkers, including the inspiring group of global innovators in the TED Fellows program, to present a program on the power of disruption to spark both ideas and growth. The session will jump-start Day Two of INTX on Tuesday May 17, at 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Eastern. Speakers and additional information will be announced later this month.

INTX Super Sessions

Super Sessions scheduled throughout INTX will provide extraordinary insight into the dynamics of today’s Internet and Television marketplace. Those announced today include a deep dive by media and financial analysts on the current state of digital media; examination of the power of television as a force in advertising, sales and marketing; a dialogue with all the four FCC Commissioners – hosted by C-SPAN as part of its program series, The Communicators – on market-shaping public policy; and observations by industry tech superstars on the immense technology challenges and innovation opportunities of the digital era.
