Initial Assignment of Exhibit Space

Shows Increased Exhibitor Interest in 2004 National Show

Washington, D.C. – The National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) has completed the first round of exhibit space assignments for the 2004 National Show, NCTA’s 53rd Annual Convention & International Exposition, May 2-5, 2004, at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

Eighty companies so far have contracted for space in New Orleans in 2004, compared to 75 companies at “first assignment” for the 2003 Chicago Show, according to Barbara York, Senior Vice President, Industry Affairs and Chief Administrative Officer, NCTA.

“The early exhibitor numbers are encouraging, in light of the general downturn in trade show exhibits and attendance in recent years,” York said. “As we’ve done in recent years, we’re working very hard again to create a broad platform in New Orleans for all companies that want to reach out to cable companies and the many constituencies that will be in attendance at the Show.”

Companies seeking to exhibit at The National Show have a variety of options from which to choose, including exhibit space in many size dimensions, as well as two different forms of “executive suites” that will grace the floor.

An up-to-date listing of exhibitors at The National Show can be found at the website for The National Show, www.thenationalshow.com. The site is a comprehensive source of information for those who plan to attend or exhibit at the show. Questions about exhibiting also can be directed to the NCTA Convention Headquarters, at 202/775-3606.

NCTA is the principal trade association of the cable television industry in the United States. NCTA represents cable operators serving more than 90 percent of the nation's cable television households, over 200 cable program networks and more than 200 equipment suppliers and providers of other services to the cable industry.
