BOSTON, MA – Michael K. Powell, President & CEO of the National Cable & telecommunications Association, delivered his State of the Industry address as part of the Opening General Session of The Cable Show 2012, NCTA's 61st Annual Convention and International Exposition. The Cable Show takes place May 21-23, 2012, at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.
Powell noted that "Cable is thriving with new energy, new products and a very promising future." He stressed that a light regulatory touch would be vital to ensure that such innovation be allowed to flourish.
