Charter CEO Carl Vogel to Chair 2004 National Show

 

NCTA Launches 2004 Convention Web Site

 

 

 

Washington, D.C. – Carl Vogel, President and CEO of Charter Communications, Inc., will serve as the Chairman of the 2004 National Show convention committee, the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) announced today.

 

 

Vogel is a 20-year veteran of the telecommunications and multichannel video industries and serves on NCTA’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

“Carl’s knowledge of our business and of the competitive challenges and opportunities we face will be of great benefit as we design the 2004 show,” said Robert Sachs, President & CEO, NCTA. “The National Show is the industry’s premier gathering, so we’re looking forward to working with Carl and a talented committee of industry professionals to create a convention that will serve all sectors of the industry.”

The National Show, NCTA’s 53rd Annual Convention & International Exposition, will take place May 2-5, 2004, in New Orleans, LA.

Web Site Launch

NCTA also announced the re-launch of www.thenationalshow.com, the on-line hub for delegates and exhibitors at The National Show. The web site will serve as the main source of information for those who plan to attend or exhibit at the show and as a portal to issues that will be discussed and technology to be showcased.

 

This year’s site offers a fresh new look and easy access to up-to-the minute convention information through the site’s running ticker. Also included on the new site:

  • Information and contracts for exhibit space.
  • Exhibiting and sponsorship opportunities, including news regarding innovative opportunities to meet the needs of all exhibiting companies.
