Interactive Launch Competition Comes to The Cable Show 2014
Teams of MBA Students compete, with solutions to complex challenges in a multiplatform video and broadband world
Washington, D.C. – Student teams from leading U.S. business schools will present business and marketing solutions to support the go-to-market deployment of advanced television and online video technologies during the “Interactive Launch Competition” scheduled for April 28, 2014, at The Cable Show 2014 in Los Angeles.
The 63rd annual Cable Show, sponsored by the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA), is scheduled for April 28 to May 1, 2014, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Sponsored by Interactive TV Works, the Interactive Launch Competition – a “launch-a-thon” of sorts – will bring together leading executives, top Master of Business Administration (MBA) students, and participating mentor companies, to foster business and marketing strategies that encourage the deployment of video and broadband innovations.
This will be the first appearance for this competition at The Cable Show and its first West Coast iteration. Three similar competitions have been staged on the East Coast.
During the competition in Los Angeles, a panel of industry experts will review business solutions developed by the MBA student teams in collaboration with mentor companies. The judges will award cash prizes to the top three MBA Student Teams to support their education. The audience will vote to select an Audience Choice Award winner.

Presentations and judging of The Interactive Launch Competition is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on April 28 in the Los Angeles Convention Center.
