POSITION

Research Assistant

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Assist in the collection, analysis and dissemination of data and the development of public policy papres, presentations and analyses. 

REPORTS TO

Senior Vice President, Law & Regulatory Policy

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conducts independent research on issues as assigned.

  • Assists attorneys and research analysis in locating information to support policy positions.

  • Handles general information requests from companies and general public.

  • Maintains research materials in an orderly fashion.

  • Coordinates data collection from external databases for other departments and member companies.

  • Works with Vice President, Industry & Technical Analysis to ensure that statistics on the NCTA website are up-to-date.

  • Handles other administrative duties for the Legal Department.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree required

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Detail-oriented

  • Basic Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
