We are committed to preserving a free and open Internet, and continue to believe it is possible to do so through targeted legislation that establishes a framework that serves consumers and spurs investment and innovation throughout the Internet ecosystem.
We therefore applaud Chairman Genachowski and his team led by his Chief of Staff, Edward Lazarus, for their leadership in fostering discussions that had this very reasonable goal in mind. We believe these conversations produced significant progress toward a consensus on a variety of difficult issues, and are disappointed that all issues could not be resolved. But we will continue to work with legislators, the FCC, and other stakeholders who seek such constructive solutions.
