CABLE AND CONSUMER ELECTRONICS COMPANIES TO ANNOUNCE KEY AGREEMENT ON DIGITAL TV TRANSITION ISSUES


WHAT: Representatives of major cable operators and digital television (DTV) product manufacturers will announce an agreement leading to the manufacture and sale of new Digital TV sets. The agreement will enable consumers to enjoy easy access to high-definition services offered over cable. The participants will provide an overview of the agreement and discuss its implications for consumers, the respective industries, and the DTV transition.
