“Congratulations to Brian Lamb and the team at C-SPAN on the launch this week of the C-SPAN Video Library, an amazing digital resource that provides instant access to any video that has aired on the C-SPAN networks since 1987.  With this stunning new tool that packages and makes easily accessible more than two decades of federal and Congressional history, anyone with a broadband connection can be an eyewitness to history or better understand the public policy of the last quarter century.  C-SPAN has once again provided a public service that promotes our democracy and digital citizenship.”

NCTA is the principal trade association for the U.S. cable industry, representing cable operators serving more than 90 percent of the nation's cable television households and more than 200 cable program networks. The cable industry is the nation’s largest broadband provider of high-speed Internet access, serving more than 40 million customers, after investing more than $145 billion to build two-way digital networks with fiber optic technology. Cable companies also provide state-of-the-art digital telephone service to more than 20 million American consumers.
