“The FCC report confirms that the home video marketplace has never been more competitive and, ‘continues to provide consumers with increased choice, better picture quality, and greater technological innovation.

As the 1996 Telecommunications Act celebrates its 10th anniversary this week, the cable industry has met its commitments by investing $100 billion to build out a two-way interactive fiber optic network that offers advanced video, high-speed Internet and digital voice services.

As even more providers enter this competitive market, it is important that government policies continue to promote such investment and innovation, and treat all providers equally.”
