Comments of Robert Sachs, President & CEO National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) Regarding the President’s Comments About Increasing Availability of Broadband in the U.S.

"No industry in America has done more than cable to bring broadband Internet service to consumers in cities, towns and rural communities nationwide. We applaud the President's call for policies to encourage broadband investment and his message that less regulation and less taxes means more broadband and more choices. It is exactly those policies that have cleared the way for cable's $85 billion broadband investment since 1996. We look forward to working with the Administration as it develops a pro-investment, market-driven agenda."
