The following statement on the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project’s Report, “Teens, Kindness and Cruelty on Social Network Sites” can be attributed to NCTA President & CEO Michael Powell. The study was conducted by Pew in partnership with the Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI) and with the support of Cable in the Classroom.
"The FOSI-Pew research highlights how teens learn online behavior and navigate the online world, and in turn, who they seek out for advice and guidance. This kind of research illuminates for us the most useful and relevant tools, resources, and policies to help keep kids safe online. The cable industry, through Cable in the Classroom, is happy we could participate alongside PEW and FOSI in this vital research, and hope it continues to spark conversations about this critically important issue."
