NCTA Announces Convention Co-Chairs for The Cable Show ’09

The Show Will Anchor “Cable Connection Spring,”  Scheduled for April 1-6, 2009, in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) said today that Michael Willner, Vice Chairman & CEO, Insight Communications and Johnathan Rodgers, President & CEO, TV One, will co-chair The Cable Show ’09, the cable industry’s annual conference and international exposition.  

The Cable Show ’09 will be held April 1-3, 2009, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.  It’s the first time in nearly 40 years that the Show will be presented in the Nation’s Capital.

In addition, The Cable Show ’09 will anchor the first-ever “Cable Connection Spring,” nearly a full week of activities in which a variety of additional cable industry meetings, events and conferences will be scheduled in conjunction with the trade show and also held in Washington, DC.  Cable Connection Spring will run from April 1 through April 6, 2009.

Groups currently scheduled to stage events during Cable Connection Spring include CableLabs, the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers, the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing, the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau, Women in Cable Telecommunications, the National Association of Multi-ethnicity in Communications, Cable Positive, and the Cable Pioneers.
