WASHINGTON, D.C. – Continuing a tradition of featuring leading executives from the cable, media and entertainment industries, the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) today announced a robust Tuesday General Session panel lineup for The Cable Show ’07, its 56th Annual Convention & International Exhibition at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, May 7-9, 2007.
Confirmed panelists participating in the Tuesday, May 8 general session include:
- Peter Chernin, President & COO, News Corporation
- Robert Iger, President & CEO, The Walt Disney Company
- Richard Parsons, Chairman & CEO, Time Warner Inc.
- Brian Roberts, Chairman & CEO, Comcast Corporation
Prior to the panel discussion, NCTA President & CEO Kyle McSlarrow will kick off Tuesday’s General Session with brief remarks.
“As The Cable Show is our industry’s premiere showcase, there’s no better venue for hearing from the leaders of some of the most important companies in the media industry both in the U.S. and worldwide,” said Barbara York, Senior Vice President for Industry Affairs, NCTA.

NCTA also said the theme for this year’s show is “Competition Works. Consumers Win.” The theme will reflect the many ways in which the Show will reaffirm cable's strong and positive impact on the competitive telecommunications marketplace and its many benefits for consumers.
