The Cable Show

For Cable, It’s Full Speed Ahead.

Here’s what people are saying about the cable industry after the conclusion of The Cable Show ’09: The Hollywood Reporter wrote about cable’s “picture of optimism.” CNET said the industry came to Washington, DC to “defiantly show off its optimistic outlook for the future.” And investment firm Sanford Bernstein said the cable business “is growing everywhere…even in the weakest/highest unemployment geographies.”

We’ll second that. After all, we’re coming off a show that’s growing even in a challenging economy. The Cable Show is one of the few international industry gatherings to produce higher attendance in 2009 than 2008. With more than 12,000 attendees, 300 exhibitors and countless opportunities for doing business, The Cable Show ’09 demonstrated how the power and possibility of cable telecommunications is at the center of an economic revival.

But we’re not stopping there. The momentum will continue as The Cable Show heads for Los Angeles, May 11-13, 2010. And if you thought this year’s show rocked, wait until you see what’s next.
