Filmmaker Angela Shelton has partnered with Lifetime Television to help bring awareness of violence against women with her new documentary, "Searching for Angela Shelton," premiering in April of 2006. Marking her directorial debut, Angela drove around the country and met other ‘Angela Sheltons’ in America. She soon discovers that, like herself, 24 out of the 40 Angela Sheltons she met had been the victim of abuse. The documentary has started a grassroots movement of survivors and humanitarian organizations around the world who are breaking the silence about the epidemic of abuse.
