Animal Planet’s new series Caught in the Moment introduces viewers to the next generation of wildlife filmmaking. Tristan Bayer and Vanessa Garnick are childhood sweethearts turned best friends and intrepid adventurers who share an unparalleled passion for nature. Tristan, whose father is renowned wildlife cinematographer Wolfgang Bayer, applies a unique and fresh approach to wildlife filmmaking. Vanessa is a certified naturalist with a focus on ecology and a deep interest in rare and endangered species. Together, the twosome travel the globe to catch glimpses of endangered species and animals in fleeting, beautiful moments. They contemplate conservation issues and give viewers an appreciation for the natural world.
